    Center for Activity Research and Education (C.A.R.E.)
    Founded in 2001, the Center for Activity Research and Education (CARE) is focused on engaging in health-related scientific research, education and charitable
    assistance to the general public for improving both quantity and quality of life. The acronym CARE represents the four main areas of organizational focus including Community health services, the Ambassadors for fitness program, Research and Education.

    CDC National Center for Health Statistics
    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published a State Health Profile for each State and the District of Columbia every year since 1987. This publication series is designed to consolidate the most current data on the health of the U.S. population. Specific "health status indicators" are used to describe the Nation's health on a State-by-State basis.
    The Center for Science in the Public Interest
    The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is a nonprofit education and advocacy organization that focuses on improving the safety and nutritional quality of our food supply and on reducing the carnage caused by alcoholic beverages. CSPI seeks to promote health through educating the public about nutrition and alcohol; it represents citizens' interests before legislative, regulatory, and judicial bodies; and it works to ensure advances in science are used for the public good.

    The Cooper Institute is dedicated to advancing the understanding of the relationship between living habits and health and to providing leadership in implementing these concepts to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of individuals.
    The Health Activity Center
    The Health Activity Center at the University of Missouri is dedicated to becoming a premier research center that is devoted to preventing and reversing chronic disorders caused by sedentary living. The Center will use its large federally-based medical research to determine the biological basis of how physical inactivity makes the body susceptible to chronic disease and disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, hypertension, physical frailty, cancer, and arthritis.

    Maryland Public Health Association

    National Center on Physical Activity and Disability
    At the National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) our goal is to encourage and support people with disabilities who wish to increase their overall level of activity and participate in some form of regular physical activity We offer a variety of resources to help people with disabilities become more active. We also offer resources for fitness and exercise professionals, health professionals, and researchers who share our interest in promoting increased physical activity for people with disabilities.

    TV-Turnoff Network is a nonprofit organization that encourages children and adults to watch much less television in order to promote healthier lives and communities.
    The XRtainment Zone
    XRtainment Zone is a new fitness, wellness center and gym using exergames, exergaming and exertainment that turns video and computer games into fun and entertaining exercise. Kids, families, parents, seniors and kids of all ages can now exercise and have fun. "Where working out is all play" is our fun and healthy motto.
